Number Attack Response
1 Tskui* Block tsuki, Shomenuchi to head
2 Tskui Block tsuki, strike jo on top and tsuki to ribs
3 Tskui Drop back w/jo on right, swing jo around to strike front knee
4 Tskui Shomenuchi to wrist, drop back w/jo on left side
Change sides, swing jo to strike inside of front knee
5 Tskui Left hand over top of jo, flip jo to block tsuki and tsuki to ribs
6 Start shomenuchi
Finish shomenuchi
Bring jo around to side, swing up to throat to stop shomenuchi strike
Gyaku yokomenuchi strike to head
7 Tskui Fancy perpendicular flip for reverse block, tsuki to ribs
8 Touch jo’s, move jo off line and complete tsuki Follow circle around jo and tsuki
*  Tskui attacks start holding jo parallel to the ground

Pull back

Step back for shomen/yokomenuchi strike ~45 degrees
Step around to other side & shomen/yokomenuchi to wrist
3 Shomenuchi
Shomenuchi
Step off line, shomenuchi to wrist
Raise bokken to throat to stop 2nd shomenuchi strike
4 Shomenuchi
Push bokken to side
Shomenuchi
Follow circle, turn bokken and thrust to throat
5 Shomenuchi
Shomenuchi
Gyaku yokomenuchi to wrist
Step across to other side and cut left wrist to stop shomenuchi strike
6 Start shomenuchi

Finish shomenuchi

Step off line to right, shomenuchi to wrist 
Raise bokken to throat to stop 2nd shomenuchi strike
Gyaku yokomenuchi to wrist
Step across to other side and cut left wrist to stop shomenuchi strike
7 Shomenuchi (big step) Gyaku yokomenuchi to back of neck
*  Shomenuchi strikes typically start in migi hamni
